Tia
Model: Tia with Ford Models
Make Up: Aaron Wozlowski
I never thought it would be so challenging to get hair to blow the way I wanted it...this took a blow dryer and a regular fan. This was a fun shoot though. Tia is magic and Aaron is amazing, and it all happened how I wanted it to.

A little while back I did a shoot with Kayanna, we were planning to shoot at a beach, then a park, then it was supposed to rain and I wasn't really sure what to cause I really didn't want to shoot this one indoors. So I kept putting off planning how to shoot it indoors and just hoping that it would be sunny, and luckily enough it was dry and perfectly cloudy. By chance Kayanna's mom discovered this tugboat junkyard near my house, and we decided to shoot there. It went off perfectly, aside from being a little cold and some guy accusing Shawnna and I of stealing metal.
Model: Kayanna at John Casablancas
Make Up: Shawwna Downing
Styling: Nicolette Lang-Andersen
The last shot is my favorite...just cause I seem to enjoy things on people's heads that shouldn't be there, like necklaces.

Karie Blossoms from Kim Akrgg on Vimeo.
I've been experimenting with video a bit lately, this is my third attempt. Lots to learn still, and I apologize for all the shakiness since my tripod is older than I am(I kid you not), and a pain to use sometimes. One day I'll get it right! Only downfall of making your own behind the scenes videos is that it's slightly impossible to shoot yourself shooting. This shoot was inspired by a MAC ad Vincent had posted on Facebook, and I loved the make up and wanted to do something sort of like it. The cherry blossoms were Karie's idea, I only wish that most of the blossoms were lower down and not so high on the tree :(
Finished product:
I edited them while watching/listening to Jasmine Star's wedding lecture on Creative Live, so inspiring. Even if you don't want to be a wedding photog I think most of what she said could be applicable to any form of photography. For those not in the know, Creative Live is an amazing resource that hosts professional photographers workshops and broadcasts them live on the internet FOR FREE! If you miss the actual workshop you can watch (usually) half of it for free on youtube, and most of them can be purchased for $99-$145.

Art For Japan
I mentioned in a previous post how myself and Doco Photo were selling prints to send money to Earthquake victims in Japan, here are the results! This was a really fun day, everyone piled into my little house then we wandered over to the park near my house to shoot. Great team, the weather co-operated, and I'm so happy with the results! Get in touch if you'd like to purchase a set, minimum donation is $25. kim. akrigg@hotmail.com
